I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Colorado (PSY3687). I earned my B.A. in clinical psychology from Tufts University and my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from New York University. I completed my training at the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Pittsburgh. Since 2003, I have worked in inpatient and outpatient settings, medical units, private practice, university counseling centers, and research institutes. Most recently, I worked as a staff psychologist at the University of Colorado, Boulder and the University of Denver.

My clinical interests include life transitions, stress management, career issues, relationship concerns, self-esteem, women’s issues, identity concerns, multicultural/diversity factors, as well as the spectrum of anxiety and depression, including perinatal and postpartum anxiety and depression. I am a member of Postpartum Support International (PSI) and have completed the PSI certificate training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMAD). I also have significant experience working with university students and am aware of the unique personal and academic issues that come up in their lives.

Since 2003, I have pursued training at several renowned institutions and developed expertise in a variety of therapeutic approaches. Primarily, I work from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) models that have been thoroughly researched and shown to be effective. I also work with individuals to recognize and capitalize on their strengths, while helping them cultivate important relationship and coping skills as needed. I recognize the many different contexts (e.g., family, culture, community) within which the individual exists and tailor interventions so that they are appropriate and relevant. I value diversity and am dedicated to providing care that reflects and honors the potential multicultural factors impacting your life.

Therapy is a powerful and important pathway to achieving change, improving insight, and living a happier, more fulfilling, meaningful life. I am committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment in which you feel supported and accepted throughout the process of growth and change. I offer a calm, compassionate, non-judgmental presence. As we work together, I will provide insights and interventions that are clear, effective, and uniquely tailored to your situation.
