Dr. Rohini Gupta is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Denver Colorado. She provides a warm, nurturing, and supportive environment where individuals and couples can work to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and make sense of their experiences. Dr. Gupta works collaboratively with her clients and uses an integrative approach to therapy which allows her to be flexible in meeting the needs of her clients. She believes that many factors influence who we are and how we engage with the world, including the influence of our past experiences. She works to help clients gain insight, envision possibilities for change, and take active steps to overcome obstacles that utilize interpersonal, behavioral, and cognitive strategies.
Dr. Gupta is a culturally responsive therapist who helps clients with a diverse range of presenting concerns such as depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, grief and loss, relationship concerns, intergenerational and cultural conflicts, life transitions, vicarious trauma/burnout, and those who are seeking personal growth. She uses her expertise in multicultural considerations to help clients who are struggling to balance different worlds and navigating these competing demands. Clients come to her in need of support with issues related to identity, acculturation, and family and work conflicts.
In addition to her private practice, Dr. Gupta works as a Clinical Assistant Professor and is the Director of the Trauma & Disaster Recovery Clinic. She completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University of Denver Graduate School of Professional Psychology and has a Masters in Social Work. Dr. Gupta also has specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She has provided psychotherapy in a number of different settings which include domestic violence shelters, counseling centers, and hospitals.
